FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many types of VRV systems are there?
VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) systems are classified into two main types: Heat Pump and Heat Recovery. Heat Pump systems only provide heating or cooling to the entire building, while Heat Recovery systems can provide both heating and cooling simultaneously to different zones within the building.
What is difference between VRF and VRV system?
VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) and VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) systems are very similar, but VRF is a term used by Daikin, while VRV is a term used by their competitor, Mitsubishi. Both systems use refrigerant to cool or heat spaces, but VRV systems have a slightly larger capacity range and can accommodate more indoor units than VRF systems.
Is ducting required for VRV system?
Ducting is not always required for VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) systems. VRV systems can be configured with either ducted or ductless indoor units, depending on the building’s design and the specific needs of the space. Ductless indoor units can be wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted, or floor-mounted, providing flexibility in installation and design.
